Let's apply blush

Many women avoid blush because, well, understandably we think it’s pretty difficult to apply. You don’t want to end up looking like someone was baking you in an oven somewhere.  It’s actually very easy to apply; I will teach you how to do it. This is a top-secret beauty technique that will give you a pretty look and add some much needed color to your skin.
I love pink blush, its gives color to your cheeks and it will make you look delish. I use this every time a want to achieve that Barbie doll look. I will teach you how to do it the right way and the outcome will be something to die for.
You will need:
  • Blush
  • A Mirror
  • Blush brush
  • Translucent powder
Here’s the low down on everything
Gel and powder are best to use on oily skin, cream is best used on normal and dry skin. Choose a nice color that will match with your natural skin tone. Bright red is great on bronzed, brown skin but if you are pale skinned, soft pink is great. Depending on your skin tone you might opt to use dark or light colors. A lighter color is great on dark skin tone while natural colors like brown are good on light skin tone.

Invest in quality blush brushes. If you opt for a cheap brush, you will have undesirable results. Always use a blush brush; it should neither be too flat nor too rounded, and on top of that it should be soft so that it does not irritate your skin.

When applying first ensure you are in a well-lit place. This will help you see what you are doing clearly. Before applying blush makes sure you have done your make up and everything else such as brushing your teeth, applying your foundation and cover-up and so on.

How to apply the blush
Start by applying the blush little by little. It’s easier to apply a little rather than removing the excess. Suck your cheeks in and identify where the hollow of your cheeks is. This is your starting point. Apply blush in a straight line under your cheekbone leading up to the direction of your ears. However, don’t reach up to the ears. Get to where your cheeks get chubby.

Blend the colors well; make sure it’s not too bright for your skin. Blending is mixing the colors you would like to use. When blending, make sure you use a clean brush to remove the excess blush. To achieve a young look, apply blush downwards. Make a big smile and apply blush on the apples of your cheeks. When blending, make circular motions on your cheeks. You can apply a little color at the tip of your nose. This way, the color looks more spread and you will not look like a clown. This shouldn’t be too hard.

If you accidentally realize that you have applied too much blush cream, wipe off with some tissue. If you are using blush gel, wash it off, and start reapplying again.

Repeat the same procedure on your other cheek. Make sure you do it right (aim for evenness).

Brush up some translucent powder to achieve that new and natural look. Translucent powder helps cover up the excessive blush and gives you a natural, attractive look.

Make sure your lipstick color is the same color as your blush color. Wear a red or pink lipstick that goes well with your skin and use the same color on your cheeks. Don’t let your lipstick appear shiny because both your lips and your cheeks will end up looking uneven.
That's all you have to do to achieve a great look. It’s not hard. Once you learn how to play with the right colors you will know what suits your skin best.
