How to lose belly fat

Some people call it the beer belly. You know; the excess fat around the waistline. Is there anything more irking than this? It refuses to go! It’s like a tenant who wants to stay in your house for free. Belly fat can put you in serious trouble. We are talking heart disease, cancer, high cholesterol; the works.

To maintain good health, reduce belly fat. You can easily achieve this by exercising and eating a balanced diet. Reduce the portions of food that you take and avoid sugary foods, saturated fats, cholesterol, salts, sodas, cookies, and chips.

Nutrition
Nutritious foods should be your forte. Think whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and fruits. Many people don’t love exercising, even though exercising is the best way to shed some weight. We all know nothing comes easily.

Fitness
Being fit is also part of beauty because you need take care of your body and look good in whatever you desire to wear. Confidence will help you rock any outfit! This should be your mantra every second in your quest to reduce belly fat. If you feel confident, you can wear anything!

Calories
Reduce calorie intake. If you don’t reduce calorie intake, you can’t lose belly fat. For one pound of fat to be shed, you need to reduce your calorie intake by 3500 calories. Aim to shed two pounds in a week. If you lose more than that, you might do more harm than good.

Food journal
Keep a record of what you eat. Record what you eat every week to assess your eating habits. From that research, you will understand what should be cut out of the diet. You should be watchful of the ingredients in the foods you purchase because there foods that contain copious amounts of sugar and are marketed as healthy products.

 Foods with fat

Eat foods that contain fats; like nuts, seeds, avocados, and soya beans. Avoid cookies, margarines, and crackers because the end result is more fat being stored in the abdomen.

Fiber
Add more fiber to your diet. Apples and cherries are soluble fibers. Soluble insulin depresses insulin levels which help speed up the burning of visceral belly fat. Add fiber to your diet slowly if you hadn’t been taking fiber before. This slow increase will help your body adjust to a sudden inclusion of fiber.
Try to include the peels of some of the veggies and fruits you consume to your diet. The peel is a safe haven for fiber. Don’t peel your apple. If you eat potatoes, don’t get rid of the peel, eat it!

Records
Start measuring your waist line and weigh yourself because you need to start setting goals. Your hip to waist ratio is the most important. It will help you know if you will need to lose more.

Attitude
Find the right motivation when exercising; maybe by joining a friend.  By joining forces with a friend, it can help you lose your belly fat fast. By sharing experiences and working out together, you can stay focused.

Working smart
Start taking moderate amount of protein; it is a long-term technique to lose belly fat. You can take unprocessed eggs, seafood, poultry, dairy products, and meats. These are the best proteins to help you achieve your goal. The reason why you want to consume protein is because proteins make you feel full for longer.

 Cut carbs
If you are a vegetarian, you can decide to cut carbs. Many people don’t watch how much carbohydrate they consume. Bad carbs include white rice and refined sugar. These foods are digested quickly and they lead to high weight gain.
