Skin remedies : How to attain beautiful skin

Beautiful, flawless skin tips
How can you achieve glowing skin, the simple, practical way? Is flawless skin a preserve of the few?
These are common questions that tend to linger in our minds. Luckily I might have some answers to this. Everyone wants flawless, beautiful skin. No one wants skin with dark spots, pimples or baggy eyes. However, we cannot escape the fact that different types of skin have different shortcomings. There are different types of skin, namely:

  • Dry skin

  • Oily skin

  • Normal skin

Dry skin: Dry skin can sometimes feel itchy because it has small pores. This type of skin needs to be regularly moisturized.

Oily skin: Oily skin is susceptible to pimples. It also has a greasy texture. People with oily skin most likely have large pores and shiny skin.

Normal skin: Normal skin is smooth and does not show any signs of flaking. It should be considered good luck when you have normal skin!
I want to reveal to you how to get flawless and beautiful skin at home. I know firsthand what these tips can do for you.

You will need:

  • Toner

  • Cleanser

  • Moisturizer

  • Products that contain sunscreen; that is if you don’t wear hats in the sun

  • Your favorite makeup kit

  • Make-up wipes and moisturizer

Knowing your skin type

Then, you need to know your skin type. Is it oily skin, normal skin, or dry skin? This is how to know your skin type:

Wash your face, leave it to dry and don’t touch your face for one hour. Place a piece of tissue between your nose and your cheeks. This is called the T-zone.

  • Normal skin: For normal skin, it will have no flakes, it’s smooth and supple. You are a lucky girl! Trust me!!

  • Oily skin: For oily skin, your tissue will be greasy and large pores will be visible. Don’t worry this is normal for oily skin.

  • Dry skin: Dry skin will show flakes and small pores will appear. Moisturize this type of skin more often.

These are essentials if you are to keep your skin healthy
Buy a good cleanser, moisturizer, toner, and a facial scrubber that suits your skin type. Being your first time, you can try different brands until you find the one that suits your skin. You can consult a makeup specialist to come up with the right one for you. Choose cleansers, toners, and moisturizers that are non-comedogenic.  This means it will not block your pores and lead to an increase in pimples. Non-comedogenic actually means oil free.

If you suffer skin problems such as eczema or acne, see a dermatologist. They will give you the special skin care that you need.

Select a sunscreen for your daily use. Choose sunscreen that does not contain fragrance or oil. Sunscreen prevents harmful rays (UV-A or UV-B rays) that could lead to skin cancer or damage.

You can also select a moisturizer that contains sunscreen. Try different moisturizers containing sunscreen to see which one suits you best. The thing with moisturizers is that they keep your skin hydrated.

Make sure you wash your face every morning and evening. Don’t use a washcloth to clean your face. Using your hands to wash your face is best; it lowers chances of causing irritation to your skin.
Wash your face every day; preferably morning and evening especially if you have pimples and oily skin.

Before retiring to bed ensure you wash off your make up. You will require make up remover for this; it takes a short time to do this.

Eat a balanced diet. Make sure you take lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid red meat and foods containing caffeine and sugar. Also drink lots of fluids; especially water. The 8 glasses of water they recommend a day will do a lot of good to your skin.

Don’t forget to exercise. When you exercise, it helps you metabolize foods faster and also relieves stress. You can take walks or do yoga. When you have a healthy body it tends to show on your skin.

Sleep 8 hours every night. More rest gives you energy and it makes you feel healthier, appear healthier and live better.

So you see? It’s not rocket science, is it?
